Server Virtualisation

We have advised and assisted many of our clients in the choice, design and implementation of a virtualised environment in order to achieve their server consolidation and cost reduction goals.
IT Services recently advised a client who had a choice of three competing designs. The chosen solution used multiple high capacity, highly scalable IBM System x3650 rack optimized servers and a storage area network, (SAN) comprising dual IBM System Storage DS4700 and a fibre channel network for communications. The chosen hypervisor software was VMware vSphere.
